If you’re going to build a Cobra it doesn’t get much better than this.

Hmmm, I dunno - engine matters a lot here.

I’d like to build a Cobra one day. Either put in a ridiculous V8 or total opposite with a small 4 or maybe electric.

My first choice might be a 289. Carroll has said it himself that was the better drivers car and they won more races

You’d get a lot of hate with a 4 banger

My perfect Cobra would be placed on a C6 Z06 drivetrain and suspension.

Use one from a Corolla or something. Maybe even make it FWD.

or go super boosted 4 and put some v8s to shame to really anger people

A Corvette drivetrain is sacrilege

90% of the reason. The other 10% is modernness and reliability to DD it.

All you’d need to do is cut down the torque tube so the whole thing fits under the replica Cobra body. Plus having Z06 everything I bet it would handle just so right.

Wouldn’t mind building it ford based. I think building a sub 400 lb 363 cubic 4.125x3.400 inch aluminum block boss 302 ( tiny 8.200 deck height) would be fun. Chi aluminum Cleveland heads. T5 based trans 90 lbs. 8.8 Center section. 600hp 8500 rpm and relatively low maintenance with valve spring changes once in a while.

I wonder what the zero to 60 time would be... I would have to imagine it would be a rocket ship
